Who Killed Them? Family Questions Deaths of Teen Twins on Mountain

The mysterious deaths of 19-year-old twin brothers have left their family devastated and searching for answers. Qaadir and Naazir Lewis, both from Lawrenceville, were found shot dead at the summit of Bell Mountain on March 8, just one day after missing a flight to Boston.

The disturbing discovery was made by a hiker, and while authorities are investigating the case as a possible murder-suicide, the twins’ family refuses to believe that explanation.

Family Rejects Murder-Suicide Theory

The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) has yet to determine the final cause of death, but their initial findings suggest one brother may have shot the other before turning the gun on himself. However, family members strongly disagree.

“They were inseparable,” said their uncle, Rahim Brawner. “They would never hurt each other. They were always looking out for one another.” Their aunt, Yasmin Brawner, also dismissed the idea of a murder-suicide, emphasizing that the twins had a strong support system and no history of violence or depression.

One of the biggest mysteries surrounding the case is how the brothers ended up at Bell Mountain in the first place. Their family claims they were not hikers and had never been to the area before. Additionally, their plane tickets were still inside their wallets when their bodies were discovered.

Authorities have completed autopsies, but forensic results are still pending. Investigators have also not identified which brother allegedly carried out the shooting. With so many unanswered questions, the family is demanding a deeper investigation into what really happened on that mountain.

A Family’s Fight for Justice

The twins had big dreams for the future, with plans to launch their own clothing brand. Their aunt has started a GoFundMe campaign to help with funeral expenses as the family continues to push for more transparency in the investigation.

“Something happened in those mountains, and we want answers,” Yasmin Brawner stated. Until authorities provide a clearer picture, the family refuses to accept that the tragic deaths of Qaadir and Naazir were anything but suspicious.
