Nineteen-year-old Brenden Cary, a resident of Franklinville, was driving north when an SUV in front of him suddenly struck the front right corner of his car. The impact caused Cary to lose control, veer off the highway, and collide with a disabled minivan parked on the roadside.

Sadly, Cary and his 19-year-old passenger, Dominic Reyes, also from Franklinville, lost their lives at the scene. Their close friend, a 17-year-old boy who was also in the car, fought for his life but passed away the following day.
Authorities also reported that the 36-year-old woman driving the minivan sustained serious injuries, while three juveniles inside suffered minor injuries.
