Tesla Facilities Hit by Arson: Attorney General Calls It ‘Domestic Terrorism

A series of alarming attacks on Tesla vehicles and facilities across the U.S. has raised concerns, with authorities now treating the incidents as domestic terrorism. Attorney General Pam Bondi strongly condemned the attacks, calling them “nothing short of domestic terrorism,” and assured that those responsible will face severe consequences.

The latest incident occurred in Las Vegas, where multiple Tesla vehicles were set on fire at a Tesla Collision Center. This follows a disturbing trend of arson, vandalism, and firearm-related attacks against the electric vehicle manufacturer.

Law enforcement officials confirmed that in the Las Vegas attack, the suspect spray-painted “RESIST” on the facility doors before setting vehicles on fire and firing gunshots.

The FBI’s Joint Terrorism Task Force has now joined local police in investigating the attacks, with authorities suspecting an organized effort behind these crimes. Despite ongoing investigations, no suspects have been arrested yet.

Tesla has been the target of repeated attacks in recent weeks, with multiple incidents reported across different states. In Kansas City, two Tesla Cybertrucks caught fire after being deliberately set ablaze.

A police officer nearby attempted to put out the fire, but it spread quickly to another vehicle. The Kansas City Fire Department has labeled this incident as a potential arson case, and the FBI is assisting with the investigation.

Earlier in the month, a Tesla dealership in Oregon was attacked, with more than a dozen shots fired at the facility. In Dedham, Massachusetts, Tesla Cybertrucks were vandalized, with spray-painted messages covering the vehicles and tires slashed.

A separate attack in South Carolina saw Molotov cocktails thrown at a Tesla charging station, with messages criticizing the company and its leadership. Federal authorities have arrested a suspect in the South Carolina incident, but most of the attackers in other cases remain unidentified.

Political Tensions Rise as Tesla Faces Backlash and Growing Attacks

The recent wave of attacks on Tesla has sparked debates over whether they are politically motivated. White House Press Secretary Karoline Leavitt called the incidents “despicable” and urged political leaders to condemn the violence.

She noted that Tesla was once widely supported by Democrats, but its CEO, Elon Musk, has faced increasing opposition since expressing his political views.

Musk, who is now involved in the White House’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), has suggested that his leadership role has made Tesla a target.

He recently took to social media, questioning why Tesla is facing such hostility despite its contributions to clean energy and innovation. Musk called the attacks “a distraction for the company” and criticized those who encourage violence against Tesla.

Tesla’s stock value has taken a major hit in the wake of these attacks and ongoing protests. Illinois State Treasurer Michael Frerichs has linked the company’s declining performance to Musk’s involvement in government affairs, stating that his political role has been a “problem for the brand.”

As a result, Tesla’s stocks have dropped nearly 48% this year, with several top executives selling off millions of dollars in shares.

The company has also faced increasing protests at its dealerships, with demonstrators criticizing both Musk and Tesla’s operations. Some investors worry that the ongoing attacks, combined with political controversies, could further damage Tesla’s reputation and financial stability.

Despite the turmoil, Musk remains defiant, stating that Tesla continues to make great products and that these attacks will not stop the company’s mission. However, with investigations still underway and no major arrests yet, Tesla may continue to face challenges in the near future.
