Philadelphia police are searching for a driver who opened fire on a car in a shocking road rage incident, leaving a 15-year-old boy and a woman injured. The terrifying event unfolded Monday evening at 42nd Street and Girard Avenue, with security cameras capturing the suspect’s aggressive actions before he fired multiple rounds.
Surveillance footage shows the suspect, a bald man with a full beard believed to be around 40-45 years old, yelling at the victims from his silver Honda Civic. Moments later, he pulled out a handgun and fired multiple shots at their vehicle.
The teenage boy was hit in the arm, while the woman suffered a graze wound to her chest. Despite their injuries, both victims managed to escape and are now in stable condition at a local hospital.
Shocking Footage Captures the Attack

Security cameras recorded the entire incident, showing the suspect furiously yelling before reaching for his gun. As the victims’ car attempted to drive away, the suspect appeared to chase after them while continuing to fire.
The vehicle used in the attack, a 2016-17 silver Honda Civic, has distinct damages, including missing quarter panels and a missing passenger-side front hubcap. Police are urging the public to report any sightings of the vehicle.
City’s Crime Rate Contradicts Recent Claims
This incident was one of five shootings reported in Philadelphia on Monday night. Ironically, these violent crimes occurred just hours after District Attorney Larry Krasner announced that crime in the city had significantly decreased. According to Krasner, violent crime is down 12% this year, with homicides seeing a 37% drop compared to the same time last year.
Authorities are now urging witnesses to come forward to help identify the suspect and prevent further violence on Philadelphia’s streets.
