From rock covers of The Lemonheads to dulcet duets to original material, The Acoustic Club hosted its final performance of the year Friday night in the PAC.

Sophomore Avishawd Yarisaied and senior Freddie Porter hosted the show, which featured more than 20 performers and a fully packed audience. Highlights of the event included junior Bill Tran’s promposal to Lili Dearo shortly after they performed a cover of of “Until I Found You,” by Stephen Sanchez.

Additionally, organizers celebrated senior performers at the end of the show with flowers.

Acoustic Club president Marilyn Alonzo said that organizing her final Acoustic Night was particularly stressful due to technical difficulties a half hour before the show, but even that falls away “when the show just starts and everything just falls into place.”

“All the stress and all the hard work is worth it because you can get it to perform,” she said. “I just love watching all the hard work pay off.”

Alonzo said that she hopes that the crowds were entertained and sees the club continuing to engage with the Branham community.

“I hope that it inspires some students in the audience to try out and go for it and you know, go into the community and make music,” she said. “I hope that the Acoustic Night just inspires their inner talents and activity inside.”
