Leigh narrowly defeats Branham in first golf rivalry game of the year

Leigh edged out the the boys golf squad 235-246 Monday at the San Jose Municipal golf course, the first matchup between the rivals.

In the nine-hole, par 36 match, junior Ricardo Pham secured the lowest score at 40, four over par. Among the other top scorers were junior Adam Wong, who shot a 47 for 11 over par, sophomore Rocco Dressler with 49, and sophomore Caden Kim who earned 51.

The team was scheduled to face the Leigh squad again today at the Cinnabar Hills Golf Course, but the match was canceled due to the rainy weather.

Instead, they will head to Cinnabar Hills on Monday to play against Leland.
