CSC defeats Wilcox easily to stay undefeated

The CSC teams launched away with a 16-5 win after a rocky start Thursday in their match against Wilcox at Santa Clara High School.
The Bruins and the Chargers traded points in the first quarter, which consisted of partner stunts. The team took two out of the three points given out, since none were awarded for the fourth, ending the quarter with a 2-1 lead.
A similar pattern emerged between the two teams in the second quarter’s pyramids and tosses events, with each team wining two of the four routines, giving the Bruins a 4-3 edge by halftime.
The team earned a little distance with jumps and tumbling in the third quarter, taking three more points after with Wilcox was forced into a double forfeit, and moved to a 7-3 lead.
They took all possible in quarter four, which consists of all routines, save for a tie in partner stunts for two routines. Still, they were earn all points for jumps and tumbling 2 and 3, pyramids and tosses 2 and 3, as well as sweeping routine 1.
The game ended with a 16-5 win, leaving the Bruins with a 3-0 record. They travel to Wilcox on March 29 to face off against Westmont, which is also 3-0.
The next game will determine who wins the league and goes to state in June.
