Varsity Boys Volleyball is continuing to have an undefeated season so far, and with Thursday’s victory over Leigh, they are the division champions. They will learn of their CCS schedule Saturday.

On May 3, the boys faced Westmont High School for Senior Night. The ceremony was very touching and the six seniors (Jordan Bateman, Anthony Guarnizo, Keith Hackleman, Jason Kim and Sammy Nichols) all came out with their family members to receive recognition and gifts from their coaches and teammates.

The boys were off to a great start and at first being up 10-2. As the first game continued, Westmont fought back but they did not have enough to win the first game.

The Bruins took game one, 25-22. The second game was coming up to a close match once again.

Bruins had to fight back from a tie score at 24 points. As Westmont served, Jordan and Ryan came up for a great block against one of Westmont’s hitters.

The Bruins then finished the game with a win of 26-24.

The third game was a comeback from Westmont and the bruins slipped off a little. Towards the end, Keith had two late spikes to give the Bruins a chance but it was not enough.

The third game ended with a score of 22-25, Westmont. The Bruins were not happy with the result from the third game and so they brought their A game to finish Westmont off, winning the fourth and final game, 25-15.
